India Gets Its First Health Studio By Reebok

Health and fitness is one of the major concerns among the people of the 21st century. The eating habits and working habits of the people are affecting the fitness of the current generation. Health and fitness together are connected to each other and if one remains fit then they are also healthy. So watching at the fitness as the main concern the various sports brand across the world are looking to make products that are helpful for keeping a person fit. The various brands have come up with the fitness studio shops across the world where one can visit and get fit.

The sports brand Reebok opened its first fitness studio in India. The studio was opened up in the city of Mumbai where people can go in and take part in the special fitness classes that will be going through it. This is a special fitness studio built keeping in mind that fitness comes first. In this studio there will be special classes of yoga and other fitness programs will be running in order to make people fit. The daily cost for attending the workshop will be Rs 600 while monthly membership of the studio will be Rs 5000.

Somdeb Basu the brand director of India spoke to the press saying that it is first of the kind studio in India. The company has different plans of bringing such studios across the various cities of India. Currently the brand has 350 stores across the country and they have plans of opening 50 more stores by the end of this year. Somdeb Basu also shared that the brand is looking to open 100 more stores in the year 2015. Reebok with this specially designed fitness studios are looking to regain the Indian sports market according to Basu.

Young out for two weeks

The injury new for Los Angeles Lakers is still continuing. After recently getting Jordan Farmar, Steve Blake and Steve Nash rejoined from injuries, Nick Young,  the shooting guard, suffered a knee injury on Wednesday evening in Los Angeles’ win against Cleveland Cavaliers.

On Thursday, they said that Nick would be out for a minimum 2 weeks with a bone bruise on his left knee and a non-displaced crack of the patella. Their report added that Nick had an MRI exam in Philadelphia and t he results reveal that Nick has been diagnosed with a non displaced crack of the patella and bone bruise. He would be out for at least 2 weeks.

Nick now joins Kobe Bryant, Jodie Meeks, Xavier Henry and Pau Gasol as the injured Lakers. Steve Nash has returned with limited capacity; while Steve Blake appears to be fully back. Continue reading »

Lakers introduces ‘Hollywood Nights’

Los Angeles Lakers introduced their brand new black colored ‘Hollywood Nights’ alternate jerseys during a 99-94 road victory over the Nets on Wednesday night. Lakers first revealed the brand new look earlier in September and Kobe Bryant even donned the new colors for a Sports Illustrated cover back in October. But this is the very first time when Los Angeles Lakers have hit the basketball court in these alternates.

The front of the jersey features the word Lakers. The jersey number is written in purple with gold borders. The back of the jersey features the name of the player name in block letters. Both the number and name is in purple with golden border. The shorts are direct match to the jersey with black, purple as well as golden colors.

In September, Los Angeles Lakers executive Jeanie Buss stated in a video conference that this has been some years in the procedure of introducing a black LA Lakers dress. In no way it would ever replace the gold and purple traditional uniform which has won several championships. She thinks that the gold is going to pop out on a black uniform and having the purple letters says it all. It is all Lakers.
Hollywood is also a really hard working town. That is the major industry of this city and it is the heartbeat. Hollywood Nights is a tribute to all those people.

The Los Angeles Lakers is also ready to sport a sleeved, white BIG Logo jersey when they confront Miami Heat on Christmas Day.

NBA Finals format change approved

The owners of the National Basketball Association unanimously voted to reestablish the National Basketball Association Finals format to 2 – 2 – 1 – 1 – 1. The new format would start this season. The 2 – 3 – 1 format was in used since the year 1985.
David Stern, the Commissioner of National Basketball Association, in his final meeting with the NBA owners as commissioners before he leaves his post on 1st February, stated that the move following the conclusion of the 2 day Board of Governors meetings of the league.

Stern told that there has been an abiding sense amongst the teams, and they have begun 2 things – No 1, in a 2-2 series, it is a kind of not fair for the squad with the better record to be away. Number 2, it is tough for the squad, the better team in terms of record to spend as many as 8 days on the road away from home. Continue reading »

Basketball Betting
