Now on to The Read ...
* The New York Times' Jack Styczynski, a friend of BTO, offers his lastest installment on coaching tenures.  Interesting stuff, as always -- "Not only has the 15-year streak of at least 40 Division I coaching changes come to an end, but there were barely 30 this year.  That translates to the lowest percentage of coaching changes in a quarter century."

*  The ACC is packing up its tournament and moving it to Philips Arena for the 2012 season, reports
Carroll Rogers of the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

*  More from ACC Country:  Coach K is planning on coaching until he can coach no more, according to a notebook from Jack Carey of USA Today.  Speaking of Coach K, his Blue Devils split the first-place votes with rival North Carolina in the league's preseason poll during Sunday's ACC Media Day.  It was "the first time in the 41-year history of the preseason media voting process there was a tie atop the ACC preseason rankings," according to Steve Yanda of The Washington Post.

*  These two stories date back a couple of days, but are worth checking out.  Blair Kerkhoff, a Basketball Times contributor, writes in The Kansas City Star that the Big 12's swarm of talented freshmen would be wise to look up to their elders.  Also, Rick Bozich, a longtime BT contributor from The Courier-Journal, checked in with a great piece on the rocky road awaiting Rick Pitino.

*  In BTO's Sunday night post, we offered a feature on Kansas being the No. 1 team in the land.  Today, Basketball Times alum Dana O'Neil, explains how the Jayhawks need to move past self-inflicted distractions that tainted the team's preseason.

*  The latest on Coach Cal and Kentucky, from Jerry Tipton of the Lexington Herald-Leader.

*  Louisville freshman Peyton Siva endures a frightening collision to score 21 in a team scrimmage, according to C.L. Brown of The Courier-Journal.
